Hiding at the train station

From a time where beuty was as important as function. These trams were parked in the train station right next to the incoming modern trains.

02

Temple of Debod

Last thing that you expect in Spain is an Egyptian Temple but here we are. Built over 2000 years ago and a present from Egypt, it was loaded onto lorries and moved 2855 miles to its present home.

Parque de El Retiro

Madrid has many parks and open spaces and we spent our last morning in Madrid enjoying this one. One of the largest parks in Madrid it belonged to the Spanish Monarchy until 1868 when it became a public park.
